The Prompt:
The prompt, should you choose to take it on, is to write a poem about winter as you know it. The challenge, however, is that you can't use the sense of sight within the poem. Deprived of sight, you'll have to rely on your other four senses as a means of describing winter as you know it.
The Rules:

First off, we're doing it again!  We're bringing back the 1/50 for 150 raffle!
All you have to do is +Fav this journal to put yourself in the running to win 150 dA points.  There will be multiple names drawn in this raffle; one for every fifty people who participate.  So you have, at minimum, a 1/50 chance of scoring some major pointage!

Some of you might remember my previous journal with a list of brush-sets I've tried out and found very useful. Today I bring you more!
And honestly I must say that those few new sets contain absolutely everything one needs (I won't join the discussion that a real artist needs only one brush, because it's absolutely true but makes things much less fun and fancy ;))
After downloading and installing a brush set always test every single brush - play with it on a clear canvas, test it in different colours and using different strokes. Pick only those which you like and know how to use, delete the others or at least move them to the bottom of the list, leaving the most often used at the top.

Pancake found!So there was this plushie that I really liked when I was a kid. It was my favourite plushie. I've nicknamed him Placek (Pancake in Polish). He got thrown away nearly 10 years ago by the evil beast also know as my mum. I still miss him tough. This is exactly how he looked like:

The contest

      Winter has always been a season which people either love or hate. No matter where we live we always have some strong emotions connected with it and a lot of them revolve around... snow!
   Some love it, some hate it; some play with it creating snowmen, others do everything to get rid of it; some see it all year long and some can only dream about it.
   Because of how many different emotions we connect with snow and how many uses it has it's a perfect theme for the promised fan art contest!

Your task is to create a fan art or fan fiction that will present your favourite character(s) interacting with snow.

Rules

Every entry should revolve around the "snow" theme. The more original you are, the better!

The work must be a Fan Art / Fan Fiction and it should be submitted into the Fan Art category.

The work must be a new piece created specifically for this contest (make sure to link back to this journal in your artist's comments).

We won't accept re-colours or traces of originals (no coloured comic scans or recoloured official art)

One entry per person.

All mediums accepted!

We would kindly ask the Fan Fiction entries to be shorts up to 5000 words.

No mature content, please!

Prize donors can take part in the contest, but not the judges.
