We decided to test dA's new system of selling downloads for points and thought that quite a lot of people might be interested in our psd files. The PSD file we're offering is smaller than the one we're working on and is only meant for educational purposes. Our original files are 2480x3543 px big whereas the one for download is 600x857 px (just as the image you see above). All of the layers in the file are sorted and named for your convenience.
We hope you like it!

This is a great job. Thank you very much for the opportunity. It is very interesting to look at this file)
I have a question. How did you make the shadows? I mean there is a normal layer ( [link] ). Not multiply etc. Why does this layer make a shade on previous?
I hope you understand what I written. Sorry for my english) And sorry for so silly question. I just really don't get it.

The layer is simply slightly transparent. Originally those were simply a few layers set to 'normal' and about 30% opacity. After merging the new layer is marked as 100% opacity even though you can see the underlying layers through it.

I purchased the pdf and am more and more impressed about your work!

I'm not very familiar with Photoshop, and if I may ask, what exactly did you do to change the colours in fx1 layer? :)

Thank you!

It's set to a colour mode called Linear Dodge. You can read more about colour modes in Photoshop here: [link]
