I figured I'd write a full critique in addition to my comment. Well first off, the entire mood of the painting is just phenomenal, the red-themed atmosphere is very well-portrayed. The texture of the of the wolf's fur as well as the trees and clouds are also very very well-done, I can really see the sadistic theme here especially that twisted expression. However, as well as the shading is of the fur, I don't see any shaped shadows. With such a bright light source behind the wolf, I would imagine there would be some very definitive shadows from the viewer's point of view, like in his face, in front of his arms, on his side and especially down by his feet. Also, it seems like to the far-right of the trees it would be very dark, if not black because the other side of the tree blocks most of it from the light source. Other than that, this is a great piece, I look forward to more in the future.
