If you have problems making the flash start, refresh the page or right-click it and select "play".

Here's the promised speedpainting tutorial!
I'm sorry it's so big, but I honestly suck at Flash and this is the best I could do. I hope that you'll find it helpful!

you'll find all of the brushes I use here: [link]

And here you can find a selection of other quality brushes: [link] and tutorials: [link]

Thanks for this tutorial! Despite being a photoshop user for a number of years, I never got around to doing backgrounds in digital paintings. This tutorial has inspired and helped immensely - I don't feel as pressured to be "perfect" anymore. :)

Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. I always struggled with speedpainting backgrounds.. (okay, I didn't try it that often...) but this tutorial really motivates me! :)

HI! It's a very useful video, thank you so much. I just gotta one question (others can help me about it too :p ) What software can I use to make a video of my screen in order to make a speedpainting? Free if possible would be the best. And which one to speed up the record? Windows Movie maker just screw up the quality...

I use camtasia studio for video production but unfortunately it's not free software. I did work on Windows Movie Maker for quite a while though and I know it's possible to make the video quality really good - you just need to fiddle a bit with the saving options.
As to recording - most of the times I record my screen during livestreaming so I use Livestream Procaster. Do mind that the program is mainly aimed at streaming and recording is just a secondary function. You might want to look into fraps: [link]

thank you very much :D Livestream is an option I was already looking at, only my poor English relucted me (I'm French and need time to get use to Livestream's vocabulary). I didn't know Fraps at all. Still; thank you!
